Fire started just before cut-off and the local tankers got a few drops in. Burning in the Marron Valley area.

Day shift has 5 engines, 2 crews, 2 water tenders to keep it from crossing border road.

A note on border fires: for whatever reason, numbering did not reset to Border 1 on January 1st as in years past. If comparing activity this year to prior fire seasons, this would be equivalent to Border 11 or thereabouts.
