Another new fire in SDU on US Boder patrol Rd 2 miles west of HWY 188 in Tecate. Per 3373 the fire is at 3-5 acres with MROS potential for 200 with a structure threat in 10 min.

Fire is 15 to 20 acres in medium fuels with a moderate rate of spread, per air attack. Potential for extended attack. Additional 4 air tankers (any type), 5 type 3 engines, and 4 hand crews requested.

Hard to tell but it looks like it’s chunking up the east side of Tecate Peak. Not far from the fire over the weekend that was on the West side.

Eastside of Tecate Peak is rugged and limited ground access via TT to the peak. Also water supplies are limited to local wells and tanks.

The fire is almost to the Peak. Hung up one saddle below. It looks very close to the scar from over the weekend. It could make a run up slope to the repeater site if it gets through where it is hung up. The bottom side is also making small runs up hill.
