New fire in SDU near Campo, reported at La Posta Rd and old Hwy 80. Initial ROC was 1-2 acres with MROS. Additional resources have been ordered and 2 additional Tankers for a total of 4. Potential of about 100 acres. Smoke showing here.
IC just updated the fire is 20-30 acres with a rapid rate of spread up hill. Potential for extended and now a structure threat on the right shoulder. Also upped the Tankers to a total of 6.
The Fire is 75 acres, Rapid ROS, Multiple Spots out front, multiple structures are threatened,.
10 additional closest Engines, plus 2 type 3 Strike Teams, 6 Crews and SO for Evac’s. Sounds like it went Unified with CNF, CNF Div 4 took IC.
Campo Proper is currently 98 F, 15% RH and gusts to 21 MPH per SDGE weather Station.

Watching the live stream the fire is definitely outpacing the retardant drops. It’s running pretty well.
2 additional type 1 Tankers requested. 4 Tankers on no divert for immediate life threat.
AA asked for 4 AT’s on no divert. SOPS only approved 3 of the 4. AA then ordered 2 T1 AT’s and he was offered a VLAT as well. He took all 3 and added an ASM or Lead whichever is closest

I spoke by Stellite phone to a person on old Hwy 80 1 mile east of La Posta Rd. They say this fire has really slowed down. Hopefully the night shift can gain a lot of ground.
