Got a little ways go before it gets into Hauser, lots of open country with a good fuel bed west of around Valley. There’s some SDG&E roads that go west to East, they could use if the can put dozers in there to open them up.

Been about 80 years, but remember we had a mixed Marine/Buffalo Soldier & civilian crew get burned over in Hauser 3 October 1943 with some LODD’s.

Here’s a look at it from the Otay Mesa area at 1450 hours. This is looking northeast towards Otay Mountain and the Otay Truck Trail. That is George Bailey Detention Facility in the foreground.

With all the precipitation from last year, there is an abundant grass crop. Any ground access will be heavily impacted too. The burn from 2007 Harris Fire has lots of new fuel for this one.
