Watch Duty calling it the Coyote Fire near Potrero. 5 acres DROS.
It’s north of Potrero Peak if it’s called Coyote it’s near Coyote Hollow Rd
Coyote IC unless it got changed to Border.
Never forget Steve Arrollo. This fire is burning in the same area he was killed in August 11, 1973.
Several miles away from Bell Valley!!
You know that area way better than me…CAD page has it as Potrero Valley Road, Bell Valley
Coyote fire is the correct identifier and burning off coyote holler. 20 acres, well established and structures now threatened off Coyote Holler and Round Potrero.
2 additional Tankers requested per AA.
Spent 3 days in there when the Harris fire ran through it. Lots of structures in there.
I can remember tragedy vividly. RIP*
Per IC 20 plus acres, potential for 100 -200 acres, and potential for extended attack, evac’s of public safety grids 1050, and 1150. Tanker 72 and 73 will be over the fire at 1315.
5 additional type 3’s immediate need.
Sounds like civilian airplane crash at Ramona and tankers diverting to Hemet. Coyote AA also asked for two type 1 tankers.
Wow. When it rains it pours…
I was just going to ask why 72 and 73 were going to Hemet. Thanks flapjack
