2 dozers, 7 water tenders to CF Weed fire station staging for structure protection.
VLAT ordered
WX stations from this morning with afternoon observations (1550). The winds have matched the fire camera observations all morning, along with the MODIS/VIIRS and GOES Live sensor hits, which have this thing running NE all day so far, roughly parallel to 97 and flanking Lake Shastina, putting Juniper Flats in the direct path. What the winds do late afternoon into evening determine if this continues that path NE, or shifts and the left flank/shoulder becomes the head.
- UPRR MP349 - right on fire perimeter, or inside the perimeter now. Likely cooked now, last hourly measurement was 1:43pm 97F ENE 28G42, then a 2:24pm timestamp outside of the hourly times, saying 104F and calm winds.
- APRS D6273 - 98F 18RH ESE11G18 - personal WX station on northern end of Lake Shastina,
- RAWS Bolam - 99F 15RH SE11G24 - just northeast of incident, near Military Pass Rd at the tracks, good indicator of winds wrapping around from the east/downslope. Now currently at the head of the fire vs what we thought earlier would be the right flank.
- PacificCorp North Weed - 96F 20RH SSE18G26 -on Hoy Road, today’s left flank if this thing moves (has been the left heel most of the day).
- RAWS Weed Airport - 103F 13RH SSE19G32 - more exposed station west of incident.
MAFFS 4 was on load and return but now off the Lava in route to MCC for radio issues. Also AA requesting relief AA.
Unit reporting that the Fire has crossed 97, not exactly sure where, but it is well established. Pulling the crews out that were working on a spot.
Hammond cam shows that spot it’s moving.
Tanker 912 in route from SMX.
The weed cam showed the crews parked on 97, close to where it crossed.
From the Camera’s looks like it crossed 97 near the 42N15 Road.
BC with the Vista group, saying that 97 isn’t passable at the moment.
It’s pushing hard, that column from that spot is near horizontal.
Putting in additional evacs for along A-12.
