AA at scene 10 to 15 acres, req type 1 copter and type 1 tanker
Axis-Falcon | Shasta & Modoc | Regions | ALERT Wildfire I guess then I should change to RDN or leave it a SHU incident
Irwin ID has it as SHU,
It’s an RDN incident, per MTZ agreement all veg fires get ran on SHU.
May want to start a Q&D until more is known
Weather obs from around incident, high 90s, 11-14RH, winds North 4 gusting 8
Please folks. If you have no info on an IA incident simply post in Q&D. Once all the IA info is available then start an IA thread. This original post is void of any info at all except name, location and identifier.
**Mod Note: **This entire thread is being moved in it’s entirety to Q&D and will become the Q&D thread for whatever this is.
If no solid information is available, open a a Q&D thread first. This type of no information IA thread helps nobody.
Sorry about that did have info trying to do to many things at once
Fire holding at 18 ac. Retardant on the left flank working on the right flank

Are these available to the public? I have seen these sims for a couple fires and would love to learn more.
Available to the public…I would say in a very basic sense, no, but in legalese terms who knows. It is proprietary and contracted by CF as a tool.
TOOL is the keyword, used as reference by first due IC, ECC, Duty Chief etc. for potential. Another tool like UAV, cameras, detections systems, ATAK etc.
Personal opinion as to why I don’t feel it is good medicine to make it out there in the ether for all to view…Those who do not understand that the document is an algorithm based on calculations that can have flawed variables, or people that look at the worst case scenario… pandemonium could arise from those whom start assuming evacuations or direction of spread.
That said, with some digging you can learn how to run “sims” or “calcs” out there. Its not a secret. this is just an instantaneous-streamlined product.
my 2 cents
