That’s not surprising. Went there in 2012 for a fire with the same name. Same result.

If anybody is up to speed on this incident and would like to start an I/A thread I think it would be a good time to do it, sounds like this fire will be going for awhile as some of us who have fought fire in this area know it is steep and dangerous country.

Anybody have any intel on where base camp is being set up?

It sounds like they stripped SHU and the local SHF district. I heard a Marin County engine is covering the Cal Fire station. No new 209 this morning. As of last night, 7 USFS type 3 engines, 1 NPS type 3 engine, 7 Cal Fire type 3 engines, 4 OES type 3 engines, 4 dozers, 4 Cal Fire crews, 4 water tenders, and a few other resources are listed. Type 3 IC.

About an hour and a half. Staging is near Hwy 299 and HWY 3 in Blanchard Flats.

Because it is a CAL-FIRE incident Anderson if this was a USFS incident probably would have been Hayfork but I am surprised they are not using the park in Weaverville

There’s a fair in Hayfork this weekend which is why they located it where the showers and everything were already established, for now anyways.
