I did not hear the initial as to specific location, North or South of 36.
Variable smorgasbord of fuels in that area. North of 36 is grass oak woodland leading to chamise fields.
South is the same with more of a transitional timber model .
Most of this area is full of dead n down remnants of 08’ seige.
Local note. Specific location has a similar “coastal” lag effect or westerlies that push thru the 36 notch at night similar to highway 299( Carr) or grindstone canyon for those with some background fire knowledge.
Also is a one hour plus response from Redding or Red bluff
Beegum gulch area & it closed 36 for a bit. Pretty sure they hammered it. Not a whole lot left there to burn, 08, 12, 15, & I think even 17?? All near Harrison gulch where the trinity Hotshots are based, platina, etc.
