20-30 acres @ 15:15
Junkyard and mobile home park in the area, could get messy, quick. https://goo.gl/maps/cnccxAn4sR4J6G6c9
Falcon cam, as well.
That could explain the column of black smoke.
No shortage of great camera views for this fire.
50 plus acres, ordering 10 additional engines, Tankers are doing defensive drops for structure defense.
I’m a bit confused. Using the camera target feature on Alert Wildfire it appears there are two fires. One north of Redding the other south. Is that the case?
UPDATE : Flight Radar 24 does not show any fire activity north of Redding.
I heard of a fire near Castle Crags
Air attack and tanker left chico headed that way, tanker diverted to Peter. Air attack on scene, and a couple rotors.
TGU now out 3 dozers, 6 engines, 2 crews immediate need. I think that’s all our dozers(?), but I’m not the resource geek I used to be…
NEU just dispatched immediate need S/T
Sounds like AA and lead are working on structure protection and spotting.
Well, so far, it looks like it missed both the junkyard and mobile home park.
Last FIRIS mapping for the night it looks like. 1715 perimeter, showing progression from previous 1630 imaging.
VLAT released, some LAT’s on hold at Redding and Chico, keeping some S2’s up for some smaller targets. Per AA transition notes, fire is doing very well, priority will be left shoulder for structure protection
