Resources are responding to a reported vegetation fire Area of Gas Point Rd & Happy Valley Rd, Cottonwood the fire is 20 acres with a moderate rate of spread in grass. Structures are threatened. Potential for 100 acres. Requesting 2 additional type 1 air tankers - per Air Attack. Shasta County Sheriff has been requested to start evacuations.

The fire is 10-15 acres with retardant across the head. Crews are currently working on the flanks per Incident Command.
