A lot of resources going to the “Collier” incident in SKU- unknown location or ROC. Between the KNF, SHF and SKU- there is a lot going on…
Collier is the name of the rest area
I-5 x Hwy 96 at the Klamath river. LONG steep slopes.
They’ve been hammering this with tankers, seems to be holding. Wind is picking up in the Shasta Valley and they’re still getting new starts.
Looks like it’s starting to get going from the look on goes17, also a new fire on the modoc(?).

The Collier was 10 acres as of last evening. An adjacent fire, the Lime fire, made a 30 acre run yesterday afternoon and now threatens to merge with the Collier fire. KNF is putting together a type 3 team to manage both fires.
KNF had 34 fires as of yesterday evening. CalFire SKU had 25 as of yesterday morning, and there were several more that popped up during the day. These firefighters did a FANTASTIC job of catching all these new starts.
