πππππππππ πππππ πππππππ πππΏπΌππ: CAL FIRE along with multiple local government fire departments worked early into Sunday morning following thunderstorms that rolled into Siskiyou County Saturday afternoon bringing over 262 down strikes. Of twelve reported fires, firefighters were able to confirm and locate 4 of of them, the largest being a single juniper with a 5x5 ground fire. All fires are 100% lined and mopped up this morning. Fires will continue to be check till three days with no smokes. Crews are actively checking the county for new fire starts and prepared to respond. #CALFIRESKU2022

There have been significant rain showers here in Siskiyou over the last couple of days. Although there could be holdover fires, everything is pretty wet now and there shouldnβt be much concern for large fire growth for a week or two.
