1,550 acres. Ongoing structure threat. Entering BLM lands.
It’s pushing hard across the flats.
VLAT is T-914.
AA ordered 3 additional LATs in addition to 914.
15 minute time lapse, HEADS UP! Running hard.

Update:
my comment is outdated now, check out the one hour time lapse.
IC ordered 10 additional Engines,2 Crew Strike Teams, and some WaterTenders. Potential for 3,000 acres now. Also added 2 additional S-2s.
Traffic was scratchy but it sounded like Air Attack ordered 944 from MCC, too
And the S-2s are diverted to a new start in Tulare
T73 T74 T75 T79 T80 T23 T914 T944 + T160 which just got diverted off the Bald fire in SHF.
The Porterville tankers went to a TC/fire along Yokohl Dr east of Exeter (forward progress nearly stopped @ 1-2 acres).
AA340 was nearly over the fire as relief, had to return to Paso due to problems w/ one of their engines, now landed. AA410 now replacement.
Edit: add T76 & T78 back to the incident, plus T131.
1hr timelapse saved offline of that insane rate of spread seen off LaPanza camera.

From the cam it’s looking good. Another “middle finger” fire on the plains. Ugly place to spend the night. Been there done that.
Interesting to see how those fire whirls come across the head and increase the flame front.
2,500-3,000 acres, 20% containment per IC, fire activity has moderated.
Just under 3,000 acres, 30% containment. Fire activity moderated quite a bit. Will be working through the night to improve containment values.
Looks like it jumped the lines and is marching up Branch Mountain. VLAT 914 is flying it now.
T-914 is heading to NV…
914 is flying a fire in NV out of SMX. Not this incident.
Helicopters are working the smoke.
