Ventusky is forecasting winds to remain northerly and mild until later tonight with a shift by 10pm to 20-25mph easterly offshore gusts through the morning.

Held at 217ac as of 8am with 40% containment.

[25mph+ offshore gusting on the top of Black Mountain and the Santa Lucia Range, but, just conversationally, the offshore doesn’t seem to have that heavy downslope flow over the ridgelines that get so scary. This would probably be a very different (Chuck Norris/hard charger) fire with a high pressure system in the Central Valley.]
