3-5 acre fire inside the Torrey Pines Preserve, access off of Carmel Valley Rd. IC just requested 3 Strike Teams to the top of the hill, AA, Tankers and 3 additional Rotor wing. Column showing on this Cam from UCSD…https://ops.alertcalifornia.org/cam-console/13500

The fire is approaching multi million dollar homes just east of the fire. The fire is about to impact Via Esperia.

For accurate info this fire started this morning and was stopped at 1-2 acres, it just took off again and all resources are headed back including all the addition al strike teams.

Fire started at 1035am this morning and was FROS stopped at 1-2 acres per IC at 1102am

Copter 10, 12, and Tanker 70.71 on the way. I am not sure about retardant in the preserve but maybe along the backyards. Fire is approaching Via Grimaldi.

Per local news reporting on the weather… its 72 degrees with RH at 85% with winds gusting to 11mph

Local RAWS showing Temp 72, RH 85.
The news is showing A LOT of ash and clean burning of the vegetation. Under these conditions, it’s gunna be a LOOOOOOONNNNNNGGGGGGG Summer.

This thing is just about done. Several fixed wing dropped along the flanks and she has reached the top of what looks like a pretty sandy/dirt ridge. News is showing the sky crane grabbing some salt water!

Del Mar has had .39" of rain total for April, May and June. We will see what La Nina has in store for us.
