Inside the cement plant at the given location, first engine SND E-31 advised 1-2 acres and pushing up hill. The fire was upgraded to a first alarm after arrival. SND B-4 has Mission IC.

Forward progress stopped but the fire is still active in the River Bottom near the heel of the fire. Sounds like a bit of Arundo to deal with.

We gave Giant pampas grass in our area, smokes and smolders forever and casts of burning layers like paper. SUCKS
Ew. I have been in stuff like that. Not fun. Had some stuff similar up in parts of Oregon and you would basically have to pick up chunks and smash it in your gloved hands in order for it to stop smoking.
