New fire in the City of San Diego. Lots of structures threatened and multiple ST’s requested. Lucille and Janet for structures immediately threatened. Fire is in the area of Montezuma and Fairmont south of the 8 and just west of SDSU.
Full aircraft enroute from CF and a total of 4 copters requested
The fire is impacting structures on Lucille Dr, 5 strike teams requested, 5 Copters and fixed wing requested.
Per radio traffic the fire has spotted to the north side of Montezuma
The fire is on both sides of Montezuma and is about 10-15 acres. Multiple spot fires being reported. The fire is in the backyard of multiple homes.

Lucille Drive, Lila Drive, and 49th Street are being evacuated, per SDFD on X. Officers going door to door. Please use caution when leaving the area.
There are so many emergency/priority radio traffic I can’t keep up with them
it is hard to keep up with.

Hardy Elementary School is being evacuated to Viejas Arena at SDSU, per SDFD. Parents can use Canyon Crest to access Arena. Avoid College Ave.
Evacuation Orders have been issued for Zones SDC-1902 and SDC-1994. A Temporary Evacuation Point is located at the Allied Gardens Recreation Center at 5155 Greenbrier Ave, San Diego, CA 92120.
