Looking at visible satellite, the Fire is developing a pretty good Pyrocumulus. It looks like it is being influenced by T-Storms that are just off to the east of the Sierra Crest. I would think this is causing outflow winds that are moving the Fire North and West.

Though it is visible to the naked eye in that map, you don’t have the 2011 Motor fire on that burn scar list, which it appears the spots are burning in “fiercely” per AA.

The fire is 27,129 acres with 7% containment. 2,832 personnel are currently engaged on the fire which includes 204 engines, 38 water tenders, 17 helicopters, 70 crews, and 40 dozers.
Last night the Ferguson released some of the immediate need resources that were dispatched from MMU cover assignments.
MMU just dispatched the Golf strike team back to the fire immediate need to Division Echo, which is the El Portal area.
Fire has crossed Miller Gulch and retardant line and outflanked resources that were going direct. Pulling out resources back down to the river to start doing indirect.
