Looks like they’re having trouble keeping it in the South Fork Merced drainage. See this comparison to the 1961 Harlow Fire at http://www.fusee.org/rim-fire-redux/ on the FUSEE.org blog.
“Problematic” may be another word to use here, rather than aggressive. Lot’s of bug kill present.

Arrowhead IHC lost a crewmember this morning
I know many of you knew about this when it happened, and I appreciate the restraint from posting until the proper notifications could be made.
So sorry to hear that news. Thoughts are with the Arrowhead Crew and famlies.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) –
Fire officials have issued a mandatory evacuation order for the Wawona community inside Yosemite National Park as the Ferguson Fire moves closer to the area.
From Modesto it looks like the column has pushed high enough to make pyro-cumulus clouds appear. Can anyone give an update on the fire behavior and acerage gains?
Not much to tell. Theres an i.r. flight going on, theres no AA other than the helco directing helos.
inciweb said they were expecting to burn off some fuel today and to expect the smoke to column with the inversion lifting also stating people can expect to see more of a column then they have the last few days. Haven’t head exactly what the fire is doing today but that’s what was stated yesterday for today.
