This was called in by shuteye lookout at 4pm. Its way in the back country near stairway creek in the upper san Joaquin river. AA 440 flew it and reported a half acre in timber with potential for 50 acres. AA will be ordered to check the fire tomorrow. Coincidently smoke jumpers flew over it at 1pm heading east for an assignment and they may send jumpers to this one.

Dry weather and mainly terrain-driven winds will continue with a
warming trend and a minor lowering of humidities through Wednesday.
Overnight humidity recoveries are expected to remain decent. A
cooling trend will begin Thursday afternoon and last through the
weekend.
Its crankin this morning and may be down at the base of pumice butte now on the south side of the river. The rainbow fire scar is right there just east.
