CA-SQF-Ant??

SQF fire in the Kern River Drainage, at the Ant Canyon dispersed camping.

AA410 with 2 tanker, Helicopter 523. A resource order for a lead plane was placed, and I believe 2 more tankers, is in the canyon and hard to hear.

Sounds like it may be just inside Tulare County line. H-522 looks to be committed as well as H 408

7 acres on arrival, fire running with heavy winds. Starting evacuations of campers in area. Fire on both sides of river.

Tanker 160, Tanker 74 committed, AA is asking for 2 additional tankers, not clarified but I believe for a total of 6. Plus a total of 4 copters.

SQF send all of the Kernville ranger district engines.

SQF has added additional ground resources.

Any camera views?

H408 Down Mechanical, AA advising does not need a replacement. The canyon can get fairly congested.

What are the fuels looking like? Anyone got a nomagram on this yet?

Kern/Tulare Co. line is right at the north edge of Riverkern. Ant Canyon is about 7 miles north of the county line.

Baker point camera is right next to it but isn’t showing current footage.

Hi. Any updates on the Ant fire? Thx

Looks like tankers have been released to their respective bases.

AA410 just left the fire, the tankers may have run out of safe area to work earlier.

Any update on size and containment

Not hearing anything on the scanner, it that’s a dead zone for any radio traffic getting picked up.

Copy that. Thank you

[Leesa Cizmar]. It was out when we left. Just a few hot spots they were putting out with a helicopter…this was posted in a Kernville FB page.
