With forecasted winds tomorrow there is a very good chance this could burn towards the Monument Fire or the River Complex. Bad spot with no recent fire history. Good luck and watch the winds tomorrow evening forecast is W-NW 30-35mph gusts to 40.

Not much on this yet - nothing on Inciweb. There is a bit of information on it on a local web page for the “Redheaded Blackbelt.” They do indicate it was reported about 2:40 p.m.

250 acres + this a.m. evacuations continuing, Monument fire has shared helicopters and engines. Lots of stuff on.order, talks are in progress to see if the Team running Monument fire can add this in to that fire.

CA-SRF Knob Fire: 1,000 acres brush and timber, 0% contained. Moderate fire behavior overnight with flanking, backing, torching reported. Structures threatened with Evacuation Orders and Warnings in effect. Powerlines threatened and shut off impacting community of Willow Creek. Threat to State Hwy. 299, Brush Mountain lookout and associated communication infrastructure, private timberland, and to critical wildlife habitat.
Ca Type 1 Team 5 (Young) assumed command at 0700 today per NOPS.

Knob fire has been rolled into tbe Monument fire as a Branch with divisions now, any new info will be under the Knob fire.
