AA has tankers at scene finding spots beyond the head of the fire.
Looking to find exact location… generally its north of Long Barn off the Hwy 108,
east of Sonora.
It’s off 3N39 road, northwest of the Bald Mtn Helibase,
IC requesting 1 additional type 1 copter, chief officer, type 1 crew.
Flare up is seen on cams and reported by AA.
Tankers out of columbia still in load and return with a slop over. Getting around the slop with retardant is the priority. Relief AA ordered. Air support will be on this for a few more hours.
Cams are showing reduced smoke.
per AA and T82 on a hold at Columbia.
Per Bald IC…4.4 acres mapped…Dozer line and hose around main fire. The spots at the head of the fire have line around them. Getting hose to the spots. IC wants to know what happen to the Type 1 Copter he ordered,. Webcam smoke looks a lot better now no column just drift.
It must still be in Patrol status but, I heard activity on the Op’s channel about a smoke found and they asked the copter for some bucket work just next to the helitac base…I believe.
