Appears to be spotting per the Strawberry Cam. Smoke is getting darker, incomplete burning of fuels???
Be Safe All.
Wow. That is a thick, continuous fuel bed. That should prove difficult.
I thought I saw spotting at first too, down in the lower part of the image - but none of the “spots” seemed to be do anything but die out. Going back through the time lapse though, you can see there’s a dirt road there with several vehicles passing through. It looks like they’ve got access to at least get close to the fire and at this point the fire doesn’t have a real column any more.
STF reporting hoseline and handline around the fire.
Put up a decent column this morning. These fuels are so receptive now, hopefully they didn’t get any spots . Another good stop by all agencies involved…Had lots of potential.
I just got a text from a friend that they have it contained and releasing resources (Strawberry VFD)
