A cell just come through the area moving from Oakdale to Kirkwood. TCU is working at least two starts, lookouts are staffing and calling stuff in.
From TCU: One fire identified from lightning thus far. Strike hit a Grey Pine causing a 10 x 10 spot. Engine company making access now.
TCU Twitter: Another fire reported, this one in the Mountain Ranch area near Swiss Ranch Road.
AA440 will be flying the area to make sure we identify any fires after the lightning activity.
Another Fire North Fork Mokelumne River Canyon West Point Area. Lightning strike 20X20 spot C-404 crew picking it up. Looks like lightning went from Oakdale up thru Copper towards Mountain Ranch and then West Point. Here in Twain Harte a trace of rain enough to get the deck and street wet. Kid fishing on New Melons and said a fair amount of lightning this morning out towards Angles Camp and San Andreas. Both Blue MTN and Fowler Peak lookouts are staffed today.
Fire in Forest Meadow of HWY 4 will be the Sandlewood Inc…As per AA-440 1/4 acre on the nob of hill, slow to no rate of spread. Sounds like any ROS was stopped by Locals at sceen.
