Upper Bear Mtn has a good look at it. Small column coming up the ridge.
30 acres at last report, looks like 6 Tankers on request.
Don’t know acreage after 30. Three to four structures out in front of the fire immediate threat. AA was dropping in on fire close to structures. Lost count on aircraft but last count was four S-2 and two 737 out of MCC. Order placed for two additional tankers and another ship with crew. Fire burning in brush(Chamise) and grass. AA hoping can get it out of brush back into grass or lighter fuels.
Current aircraft over there fire:
AA410, AA2CG, T82, T83, T89, T-210 (737), T-103 (MD-87), Copter 205 and Helitank 4AJ
Can’t hear any traffic but AA. He just said 35 to 40 acres and making good progress on right flank.
FIRIS has mapped at 57 acres.
Per AA, fire got through the retardant line and is making a big push along the ridge.
It put its romper stompers on and it’s going for a march
Copy… cdfff stated 102 temp and 15 RH. Unit augmented the dispatch and got a lot of resouces on the road to this right off the bat. Good dozer county, both TCU dozers and the Sutter Hill dozer were dispatched to this. Just took a look at the Southworth cam and this is still putting up a good header.
New perimeter map is 82 acres.
Fire looking better. Holding in big brush bed. Dozers working perimeter. Copters on the interior.
3 more engines and another handcrew dispatched to this fire as of ten ago.
SCU Dozer 1645 Dispatched Immediate Need.
Getting some spots, another type 1 copter ordered. Those Chamis fields will hold spots for days then come out. I worked Valley Springs for a couple of years and that was always something we talked about when we had a fire in the brush. Looks like the brush is ready in the front county from what we have seen today. Hats off to the whole bunch on that fire. Ground, Air, and ECC you guys did a great job. Nothing is good in this heat hard on everything and everyone.
