Vegetation fire, 10-15 acres, short range spotting, multiple structures threatened. Swiss Ranch Road and Railroad Flat, Mountain Ranch.
Power lines down on this. Long way to go for engines to get on scene. 4473 would be the first Cal fire. C-130 dropping across the head. T-83 was dropping on the spot. Another drop right Flank from head of the fire down. Don’t know if that’s in the old Butte Fire scar or not. Good dozer country in that area. Banner road Raws 94 with 13 RH winds 10 gust up to 18 mph. Looks like T-88 & 89 are coming on scene.
Fuel type would grass, oak woodland and timber mix. If in the old burn lots of dead and down. Brush is making a come back in the Butte scar.
It’s definitely in the area of the old burn scar…which is pretty dated at this point and lots of brush has grown back. It’s essentially on the other side of the road from the old burn scar.
Sounds like things are improving and crews are making progress. Dozer working up right flank to head of the fire. Going to hold C-130 at MCC and keep the three S-2T working the fire along with the ships. Worried about more spots at the head of the fire. AA stated going to reinforce the retardant at head of the fire and load and hold a couple more tankers.
19 acres and holding
Easy day in TCU. They crushed it.
