They’re shutting down the highway too according to the chp log.
Technically it’s Stanislaus County which I believe is SRA.
Grass fire
AA is holding one tanker on Columbia. The 2 Hollister tankers are loading Columbia and released. holding 1 tanker in orbit.
12 acres 50% contained… Getting ready to reopen the highway.
Grass fire season is here
The Unit had a few things going on during this fire. Down plane in New Melones Res. Landing Air Ambulance at Green Springs LZ. Plus the rafters floating down the river. Good job by the ECC and all who responded to these different calls. Also pilot was the only occupant in the plane was sitting on the wing with a life jacket, boaters to the rescue. Last I heard rafters still floating down the river with a great view of the fire. And that is SRA you are correct.
So does it still go under the “TCU” designator? Just curious for future posts because TCU is my hyper local area (I live in Tuolumne County) and I tend to be on scanner for it through fire season.
If it was SRA, as indicated by the previous post, then it is TCU.
Okely dokely
…and if FRA, then the appropriate forest (federal) designator…STF, YNP, etc.
Just a friendly reminder that Question pertaining to an incident should be posted into the Questions and Discussion thread. However, for this incident, that thread was never initiated, so we will leave them here. Which also adds another factor as to why there should be a Q&D thread opened for incidents to help keep the IA or Continuing threads clear of discussion items.
