the big box is pretty obvious with limited resources available I would say.
Sounds like the Ferguson just dumped a hand film of Charlie’s and Golf’s to this new start
They have a small window to catch this fire. If they don’t catch it today it has significant potential to run the same terrain as the Darby Fire. Several thousand homes were evacuated for the Darby Fire. The South side of Highway 4 from Murphys to Blue Lake Springs and Arnold were affected with some structure loss in Hathaway Pines and Avery.
Just back from looking at the Fire. Starting to get resources into the fire. A TCU ST released from the Ferguson pulled up to the ICP and was sent straight to the fire. This was about 10ish. The air show was hitting it hard between the MD-87’s, S2’s, Sky Crane, and 404. Turn around time for the copters is on a couple minute to Melones. Fire started for the most part on the upper part of the river canyon and not at the bottom. So that’s a big help. See what the wind does this afternoon and see if any spot are outside of the retardant line. Its in heavy brush and oak and a lot of that ground can be rocky with lava cap mixed in.Those troops have a sizable task ahead of them.
Parrots AA releasing fixed wing to the Donnell incident on the Stanislaus, with the exception that if they need them back the Stanislaus will give him at least one s2.
