The burn continued yesterday and today, had a 12 acre slop over taken care of quickly with the help of AA and 2 tankers, they will continue the burn.

Tankers were just up there again - another 1 acre slop w/ forward progress stopped on that.

And the Facebook IC’S are out in force ready to head down there and tell them what they are doing wrong and how to do it right.

Back in the day (mid 1980’s) when CDF VMP was quite active statewide. We were told that if you couldn’t control your VMP with the ground resources, then Stop and shut it Down! Never had any escapes…

It seemed like were moving to quick on the north side of the burn because once they hit heavier fuels fire in that section seemed to flank the previous area they just lit. Glad it’s over and done.

To my understanding from what it sounded like they picked the slops up pretty quickly

It didn’t take them very long, I don’t even think it took an hour total to contain both.

Been gone few days, what happend to cameras ? an do we really need to know about fires in Montaana? b

wow, wish I had that contingency available! good on them for using their available resources and continuing to put fire on the ground. wonder what production rate an air tanker gives you???
