CA-TUU/SQF/TIA-Lightning 2021?

APX that does seem odd. There are no roads into the area where the heat signature shows and where the cams show. Mule Peak is the closest road into the top of the South Fork of the Tule drainage, but does not provide access down into the reservation. Only access down into that area is from the bottom (Eagle Casino) or from Solo Peak via Chololo Campground.

Yes indeed. Good paint being dropped if you spin the video function.

Go full screen here and on the left near Balch (you can see the Sequoias on the ridge) you will see smoke production:

I wish that Mule and Jordan cams were still active.

FIRIS/INTEL 12 on way so we should have some maps and hoping incident names associated with them.

@apx8000 the SQF wildcad page is the Central California Interagency Communication Center (WCCICC), here’s the link, WCCCICC

Mod Note:
Due to the numbers and confusion on our end on what fire is where and whose jurisdiction. I’m suggesting we leave all the fires in this thread until some of the incidents get bigger and separate themselves from the rest. Especially with AA’s running multiple incidents under their umbrella. If you have an ear, or information on a specific incident and can provide information on that incident, then we can start breaking them out.

The camp is actually in the same visual below Jordan peak, I’ve got in the wrong spot on the picture.

I wish that whole network of cameras was still online.

Following flight tracker, I see the pattern of T105 and AA.

They are over the reservation.

IC for Nettle is getting extended resource fills from Oregon and SoCal.
Scorpion is assigned to Nettle.
Lost the SWFRS webcams. They are not on Alert cams page.

Season is picking up pace.

Here is how FireMappers has the TUU/SQF/TIA fires labeled, Res 1, Res 2, Mountain, Cow, Balch and Nettle: ArcGIS Web Application

Excellent intel on map.
Nettle is 400 acres and growing per IC.
Copter 404 is patrolling the forest (per tracking) and relief AA 430 is on scene.

New fire ā€œTreeā€ Fire found on TUU. Nettle IC corrected the name from Tree to Balch. Tree is within the Balch operational area. The IC said there are three new fires and all will be called Balch.

FYI…first day of AA430 being ā€œbackā€ at FAT!

If I right from that Pic from Globe Dr. the Nettles appears to be on Black mountain. I can see mt. Lemon just below it.

FireRx, no, I believe the Nettles is in the south fork of the Tule, fully inside the reservation. The Globe Dr pic is the Mountain Fire, out on the Black Mtn Ridge, below 21S12, Solo Peak Rd.

Yep, it’s north of lone pine mountain east side of gibbon creek. Tankers are working the ridge where there’s an old fuel break.

yeah I just saw the agis map. you’re correct,. I use to dread that Mountain catching from a strike when I worked at Springville many years ago.

Yes, I can see why. No easy access, decadent fuels, hot as can be. Nothing in the middle fork of the Tule is easy for sure.
