OCFA Fire Chief (at 10pm) is reporting all families have been notified. An OCFA crew going off shift from the Airport fire was involved in a solo vehicle major accident on hwy 241 near the Tomato Springs Toll Plaza this evening at approximately 1850. 8 OCFA firefighters from Santiago crew were transported with serious injuries. ABC news reports there had been a ladder in lanes which the crew bus attempted to swerve and avoid. The crew vehicle struck the right guardrail and flipped over. . Photos from the scene show the crew box completely separated from the chassis and upside down in lanes. CHP is conducting the investigation into the crash. Please keep these firefighters in your prayers.
