OCFA Fire Chief (at 10pm) is reporting all families have been notified. An OCFA crew going off shift from the Airport fire was involved in a solo vehicle major accident on hwy 241 near the Tomato Springs Toll Plaza this evening at approximately 1850. 8 OCFA firefighters from Santiago crew were transported with serious injuries. ABC news reports there had been a ladder in lanes which the crew bus attempted to swerve and avoid. The crew vehicle struck the right guardrail and flipped over. . Photos from the scene show the crew box completely separated from the chassis and upside down in lanes. CHP is conducting the investigation into the crash.
