There has been much change as the various IMT’s have taken over these various fires in the respective Units and Forests. When this lightning series first hit, we were trying to maintain a typical structure on the Forum that we would for any significant fire. As time has progressed, many of these fires are being pulled into the IMT structure as Zones and Branches.
We think it makes sense to re-parse the major fires into similar threads in the Forum, at least for the Questions and Discussion (Q&D) portion. To that end, over the next day or so, you will begin to see new Q&D threads appearing for the respective Units, first then as we are able to get the right information, Forests, not because the Forests aren’t important, but because the necessary information to make this work is more readily accessed for the Units.
As those threads begin to develop, we are going to need your assistance to specify which fire in that Zone or Branch you are referencing. If we don’t, the threads will easily become convoluted and meaningless. By all means, please feel free to provide your feedback, if this methodology is easier and better or if it creates further confusion to a very rapidly evolving situation.
We certainly appreciate your patience with the server issues over the past couple of days and continued patience as we try to make this Lightning Event more conducive and easier to follow.
