I saw this on social media today. Looked like part of the wing or an aileron came off just before he lost control. Terribly unfortunate. RIP.
It looked to me the starboard wing tip hit a tree as they did their drop. Sure looked like something broke off. May peace be upon their families, my heart goes out to them.
I’ve seen what looks to be the original video it’s a little more zoomed out and the right wing hits and I’m guessing it’s the float that gets ripped off and then as it rotates around it looks like the right wing is bent up slightly. I’m guessing control was impossible at that point.
