I just noticed this post from days ago. Surprised they had two DC10s ready to work this early. Is this a usual occurrence? And I don’t know what type those other tankers are.
It’s normal. 10 of 18 exclusive use tankers are on contract already. The last one is scheduled to come on May 20th. Could get called up early, which is common. Generally EU’s start trickling out in March. There are four LATs at ABI. One LAT at WJF. Three LATs at ALM. One DC-10 at ROW and one at FHU. Once all the EU’s are on contract, Surge and CWN will start coming out. Once every private vender aircraft is activated, MAFFs can be activated.

I flew out of ALbuquerque NM on 5-6-22 and T-912 plus two Erickson Tankers and two Aeroflite RJ85 were reloading at the Sunport Airport.
