DMH Radio Wiring.

You must tie red and yellow together if you do not want to use ignition sense. Be sure the yellow does not bypass any inline fuse, they both must be behind a fuse, and the fuse idealy as close to the power source as possible.

yes, just saw your question above and replied, but red is power, yellow is ignition-switched power, I believe, so that you could set it up to turn on when you turn on the ignition, but if you don’t want it limited to when the key is on, then wire yellow to constant power. Just remember to turn the radio off when you’re away so you don’t come back to a dead battery. Or, wire both to a master switch. What I’ve usually done is install a heavy (like 60+ amps) master switch that powers radios, lights, siren module, etc., and it runs right to the battery, so all those can work whether or not the key is on, but you can also kill them all with a single switch. In that case, red and yellow would both go to that switch.

Thank you for all the info

Old thread but hoping to get some answers here! Just picked up a used DMH from ebay. the power cord and antenna cord were cut. Does anyone know how to change them out? It appears the radio has to be seperated in order to change them out but when trying that the radio doesnt seem to want to seperate. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!
