Just saw this local news link: West Sacramento fire truck drives over 2 people, killing 1
I do not have any additional information. I can say that West Sacramento has a large “homeless” population with numerous camp’s in a lot of vacant lots. You can never be too careful when driving through tall grass.
Awful situation, especially coming so close on the heels of the recent Long Beach fatal vehicle ped…praying that there’s not a third incident in the near future, and for rapid healing on the injured woman and for the spotter and engineer involved
Working in an area speckled with homeless sleeping wherever, I hope the driver and crew don’t blame themselves. It’s a tragic situation, but no fault or blame should be placed on the crews doing their jobs.
