March 8th is the next academy dates
Go to the MOU and look at the grievance policy and if still in doubt contact your union representative and let them answer all your questions with the correct answer.
Not a lot. Any time a final skill is failed they review the points of failure with the candidate with the academy BC present and used to have the BC there if it got to the 3rd and final attempt.
At least when I went through it
Calls going out for Perm FAE, I think an academy just started March 8, and another one May 3. Anyone know any rhyme or reason whether you go to Ione or Ben Clark? Or is it just luck of the draw?
Last few years, Ben Clark has been doing the majority of the FF2 academies and Ione has been doing the FAE academies.
COA is only at Ione for right now. Luck of the draw for FFA. I think they usually try run 7 FFAs per year, per location. They have been trying to double up the COA students to try to catch up to the need. Instead of 48 they have 96 and just offset the weeks. It’s tough but it works.
Does anyone happen to have a schedule as far as start dates for all the coa’s 2021?
I know there will be a new one starting Monday 4/26 and every seven weeks after that
Double up starting Monday April 26th no FFA for Ione this round due to the fact that Ione will be running HFEO- and double up COA
June 21st, 2 FFA’s and 2 COA’s starting.
Anybody apply by mail before the October of 2021 deadline? Just curious if anybody has gotten a confirmation email or anything of that nature.
I applied by mail the only thing I got was a receipt saying they signed for the certified mail and I got that on Monday.
Looking forward to seeing some of you good ones in green pants again.
Accepted a Perm FAE offer in CNR yesterday. Just a heads up! Answer your phones.
Congratulations
COA starts 1/17/2022
Thanks! Yeah the deuce that called me gave me a heads up.
Congrats! Where’s CNR? Anyone get any southern unit calls?
Calls start today for 2022 CalFire Fire Captains, followed by FAE when done. Good luck
