From ONCC: HI-HVP Keauhou Ranch Brush Fire: 1,500 acres, grass, timber, 5% contained. Fire is burning at a moderate rate of spread. Impacts from approaching Hurricane Hector within the next 24 to 48 hours are unknown. Fire currently threatens Kapapala Ranch, natural resource values in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, critical wildlife habitat, and one lookout.
