A mix up at a distributor, lead to limited jet fuel supplies in North Ops last month. When the lightning went through the first time, Chester ran out of jet fuel due to it.

Wondering if any of the CWN/Exclusive Use Contractors are having issues obtaining fuel?
Just talked with a EU contractor, and he said the west coast is being hit without recent deliveries. Locally prices gone up to $7.25 gal

The most recent order-to-delivery for Chester was 17 days. The most recent turnaround between ordering and delivery is about 5-7 days, compared with 2-3 days (or less) in normal times, and that’s with supposed fire fighting priority. Makes it a bit hard to forecast when to get a delivery, especially with only one jet fuel storage tank, and a minimal order size for financial reasons.
On the positive side, more drivers are currently being trained by carriers, and hopefully will be operating soon (the problem as I’ve been told being an issue of distribution, not production).
