Those that have the Kestrel FW that calculates PIG and FDFM on the device, how does the unit do that? Do you enter shading, slope, aspect? Does it have date and time on it? Thanks for the help, wondering if it’s worth the upgrade.
Yep! Date, time, slope, sade, and aspect. I haven’t checked it against a belt weather kit yet though.

Date and time are stored in the unit. User selects Shading, Aspect, Slope, and Fire Elevation in relationship to Kestrel. Its all on one screen, very easy to use.
