A Firestorm firefighter died on Friday during burn prep at Calaveras Big Trees State Park.

We are going to be moving our fallen firefighter, Darin Banks, from Modesto to his home to Red Bluff tomorrow. The convoy will travel up Highway 99 from Modesto to Sac, then thru Yuba City, Chico, and to Red Bluff.
If you are affiliated with a department that would like to drive a short distance with us, or to park an apparatus near the Freeway in support, or just want to give a wave from the side of the road, reach out to me for up-to-the-minute timing @ zeke@deercreekresources.com.

Are hearts are pretty full for all of the love and respect shown to Darin, his family, crew, and co-workers today. We counted over 35 different engine companies, on almost every freeway overpass between Modesto and Red Bluff. Here are some pictures.
