Beyond sad. T’s & P’s for everyone impacted & involved here..
Looks like this flight here:
I recognize the call sign and tail number - they’re out of Redding.
Beyond astonishing that there are no reported 1144’s. Sending T’s & P’s to that pilot, medic & nurse of REACH5 for a smooth/steady recovery. Knowing where & when the ship went down i’m very much reminded that miracles do happen. And, a giant THANK U to the bystanders..
Reporting from KCRA Sacramento & Sacramento FD.
"The Sacramento Fire Department said three people were in critical condition following the crash. There was no patient on board, the fire department said, but there was a pilot, nurse and paramedic on board.
Sacramento Fire said one person was trapped under the helicopter after the crash. A group of around 15 bystanders rushed in to help lift the helicopter off the trapped person, officials said."
Update Edit 10/07/25:
This YT update from KCRA 3 was posted to their channel as of approx 0930 this a.m.
Imo - If there is such a thing as “Hero’s next to Angels” for sure the responders who take on the mission & responsibility of being Medical Life Flight Crew’s are high on that list…
Meant to post this earlier..
MEGA T’s & P’s to Nurse Susie, her Pilot and their Medic.

A bit more SA on the Flight Crew from KCRA 3
Pilot MIllward has ties to a critical mission on the Atlas Fire that some may recall.

I remember reading about the CHP helicopter rescues during the Atlas fire. I was amazed anyone was flying in those winds. Then, like now, it was harvest and crush season in the wine country, and numerous people got trapped in the vineyards.
It’s amazing what can be flown in.
I always think back to the 2020 creek fire when CNG rescued a bunch of people off the shore of mammoth pool
Dang it!! Beyond very sad to hear this news..
T’s & P’s to Suzies family, the REACH family and everyone dealing with grief right now..
Fyi..
Plans for a Procession today - from Red Bluff to Palo Cedro..
