From Sit Report: Bitterroot NF, USFS. CIMT (NR Team 3). Four miles west of Stevensville, MT. Timber and
closed timber litter. Active fire behavior with short crown runs, flanking and group torching. Numerous
structures threatened. Evacuations, area, road and trail closures in effect.
Zero percent containment with estimated date of Halloween. 610 personnel committed.
