Daughter and Son-in-Law (both fire medics) live in Coeur D’Alene.
They report all casualties are local.
Scene not yet safe.
That’s all that is appropriate to say at this time.

2 confirmed from the Press Briefing by the sheriff. Given that this is a very fluid evolving situation, there are going to be gaps in information and perhaps even incorrect information be provided.

There has been an official announcement within the Kootenai County Fire Department that the SWAT Team has dispatched the assailant.
