Mystery Ranch acquired by Yeti

I read multiple articles and none of them said anything about the wild land gear. They only mentioned the military backpacking and other outdoor stuff. However, it does say that they will be working on a transition over the next several months after the acquisition is complete. This worries me because yeti only produces basic overpriced equipment. Yeti has no background in wildland gear at all and I wonder if all this innovation from mystery ranch is going to die with this acquisition.

I think it will all depend on what Dana Gleason does. If he stays with the company we should be OK. I am old enough to remember when Dana was making solid packs for the expedition / mountaineering market. I was thrilled when he started making things for wildland use.

If Yeti decides to offshore design and production functions to cut costs, things will go down hill.
