Wildfire Today has an article about it:

Does someone have a list of when we hit pl5 and for how long?

I am aware of what was in the article I linked. That actually prompted the question. I was hoping someone had data going back further. That is why I was asking for a list, not just the last time.

Edit:
I am pretty sure I remember a discussion about this from the old hotlist. It is unfortunate that all that data is gone. Huge amounts of firefighting knowledge and insights in the discussion section.

It is clunky but you can get this information from the NIFC webpage: https://www.nifc.gov/fireInfo/fireInfo_statistics.html . At the bottom of the page there are yearly links under “Wildland Fire Summeries”, each year has a series of PDFs. You want the “Historical Data Comparisons”. You can then grab the PL 4 and 5 days from each year.

https://gacc.nifc.gov/nrcc/predictive/intelligence/ytd_historical/preparedness_levels/PreparednessLevels.htm has a summary of dates we went to each PL level in since 2000. Looks like about half the years we never hit 5, and only a couple years we did earlier than this.

Thank you for the link. I will look at putting that data together when I get a chance.
