Evacuation - Immediate issued June 21 at 9:54PM MDT by NWS Albuquerque NM

EVIABQ

The following message is transmitted at the request of the San
Miguel County and City of Las Vegas, NM Emergency Management.

There is a mandatory evacuation for the following areas:
NM State Highway 65 from Mile Marker 4 south along Hot Springs
Blvd, the Las Vigiles area, Fountain Drive, Willow Lane, Stella
Lane, Lucille Drive, Llano Road, and Cinder Road to Mills Avenue.

Two shelters have been set up. On the east side of Las Vegas,
proceed to McFarland Hall at the corner of 5th and Friedman
streets. On the west side, the Las Vegas Senior Center at 500
Sabino Street (not the recreation center) is open.

Make accommodations for overnight stays. City officials will
provide notification when it is safe to return.

Northwest Las Vegas and Hot Springs received 9+ inches of rain in the last 24 hours with 5 inches or more in the Calf Canyon/Hermit Peak burn scar.

Interstate 40 appears to be open, as well as State Highways 60 and 380, south of the Flood Warnings that are west of Albuquerque.
